I will be completely honest and say that western romances are my go to. Although I watched the movie that was based off of this book starring Britt Robertson and Scott Eastwood. I got the audiobook and the book so I could listen in the car and read while I was at home.
While reading this book I found out that Nicholas Sparks means your life when he talks about The Longest Ride. Essentially meaning the longest ride you will ever be on is your life. The book splits into three stories yet keeps a smooth transition throughout the book leaving it almost seamless.
Story one, Ira Levinson who is an old man reminiscing his life under unfortunate circumstances. His life is revolved around his wife and his deep love for her and the adventures they had together.
Story two, Sophia Danko is senior art student at Wake Forest University. She has her exact plan in life, until a semester before she graduates she meets Luke Collins, something she didn't plan for. Not only that, he shows her a whole new perspective on life she didn't plan for.
Story Three, Luke Collins is struggling to find happiness after a tragic incident occurred. He's a simple man living a simple life on his ranch until he meets Sophia Danko who makes him feel more than what he's felt in a long time.
These stories all intertwine so beautifully all the way up until the end with an ending so unique I'm thinking of reading another Nicholas Sparks novel. Any suggestions if you're a fan of his writing? Comment below! :)
