Have a little trick and TREAT with a double post this week to celebrate the month of October! Subscribe and stay tuned for more little "treats" throughout the month! This is definitely one of my favorite little graphic novels. It's a light read, but it's highly enjoyable giving you a happy little story partnered with illustrations by Faith Erin Hicks that get you in the spirit of Halloween.
Personally Rainbow Rowell is one of my favorite authors, and I first got introduced to her by her book, Eleanor and Park, which I may reread and do an updated review on in the future. Some of her other books include Fangirl, Marvel's Runaways, and her most recent book which came out this July called Any Way the Wind Blows. I enjoy Rowell's unique creativity in the stories she tells.
Pumpkin Heads tells the story of two friends who have worked at a pumpkin patch together every year for years...but this year is their last one. Did they waste time not saying or doing what they actually wanted to say and do? Or even worse...did they actually ever get to enjoy the pumpkin patch for all of its glory? Follow Josiah and Deja as they find a newfound love for the patch, and possibly each other.
Let me know in the comments if you read and enjoyed this little October story! <3
